Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 12, 2026
Kvick is operated by Kodeo Labs Ab (“Kvick”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how it is used, and the choices you have when using Kvick, including our website and screenshot-generation service.
1. Information we collect
Project information
Kvick does not require an account or sign-in.
When you create a project, we may process information such as:
- your app name
- your app description
- website, App Store, or Google Play links you provide
- text extracted from pages you ask Kvick to analyze
- generated screenshot headlines and supporting copy
- localized screenshot copy
- colors, templates, and other project settings
- screenshots and other images you upload
- generated export files
Each project is associated with a randomly generated private access token.
The private project link containing this token is used to access the project. Anyone who has the private project link may be able to access the project, so you should keep it private.
Payment information
Payments are processed through Stripe Managed Payments.
Stripe and the merchant-of-record entity identified during checkout may process information such as your payment method, billing information, applicable taxes, and transaction details.
Kvick does not receive or store your full credit or debit card details.
We may receive information associated with your purchase such as:
- your email address
- transaction identifier
- payment status
- amount and currency
- refund or dispute status
We use this information to confirm your purchase, unlock the purchased project, send transactional messages, and provide your private project link.
Technical information
When you use Kvick, our servers and service providers may automatically process limited technical information such as:
- IP address
- browser and device information
- request timestamps
- requested URLs
- error and diagnostic information
We use this information to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and protect the service from abuse.
2. How we use your information
We use information processed through Kvick to:
- create and manage screenshot projects
- analyze information about your app
- generate screenshot copy and layouts
- generate localized screenshot copy
- store and display uploaded app screens
- recreate project designs in the editor
- create store-ready export files
- process and verify purchases
- provide access through private project links
- send purchase confirmations and project links
- provide customer support
- prevent abuse and protect the service
- diagnose errors and improve reliability
- comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not use your information for third-party advertising.
3. AI processing
Kvick uses artificial intelligence services provided by OpenAI to help analyze app information and generate marketing copy for screenshots.
Information sent for AI processing may include:
- app descriptions you provide
- app names
- relevant text extracted from websites or store pages you provide
- slide concepts and existing project context
- other text needed to generate or localize screenshot copy
We send information only as necessary to provide Kvick’s generation features.
Uploaded app screenshots are not sent for AI processing unless a feature specifically requires image analysis and this is communicated as part of that feature.
OpenAI states that data submitted through its API is not used to train or improve its models by default unless the API customer explicitly opts in to data sharing. OpenAI may retain certain API data for limited periods for security and abuse monitoring in accordance with its applicable data policies.
4. Uploaded screenshots and project files
Screenshots and other files you upload are used to create your Kvick project and final exports.
Kvick’s editor recreates the screenshot design using project data, templates, and uploaded assets. We do not need to persist separate rendered preview image files for normal editing.
When a purchased export is generated, Kvick may temporarily create full-resolution rendered images in order to build the downloadable archive. These temporary render files are not intended to be stored permanently after the export process has completed.
The final downloadable ZIP archive may be stored so that you can download your purchased files again during the applicable download period.
Uploaded source assets and final export archives may be stored using cloud object storage providers used by Kvick.
5. Private project access
Kvick Launch does not use user accounts, passwords, or email-based sign-in.
Instead, each project has a private project link containing a high-entropy access token.
The private project link functions as the access credential for the project. Anyone who obtains the link may be able to view or modify the project, subject to the project’s current access and editing status.
You should therefore:
- keep your project link private
- avoid publishing it publicly
- avoid sharing it with people who should not have access to the project
After a successful purchase, we may send the private project link to the email address associated with the transaction so that you can return to the project later.
Kvick is not intended to be used as storage for highly sensitive or confidential information.
6. Payments
Kvick uses Stripe Managed Payments for payment processing.
Payment and transaction information is processed according to the terms and privacy policies applicable to the Stripe Managed Payments checkout and the merchant-of-record entity identified during the transaction.
Kvick receives only the information necessary to identify the transaction, associate the purchase with the correct project, provide access to what you purchased, and handle relevant support, refund, dispute, security, or legal matters.
7. Service providers
We use trusted service providers to operate Kvick.
These currently include:
- Render - application, database, and rendering infrastructure
- Cloudflare - object storage and security-related infrastructure, including services such as R2
- OpenAI - AI-assisted analysis and text generation
- Stripe - payment and Managed Payments services
- Resend - transactional email delivery
These providers may process information on our behalf or, where applicable, as independent data controllers for their own services.
We share information with service providers only where reasonably necessary to provide Kvick, comply with legal requirements, or protect the service.
8. Cookies and browser storage
Kvick may use essential cookies, local storage, or similar browser technologies where necessary for functionality such as:
- security and request protection
- remembering interface preferences
- maintaining temporary application state
Kvick Launch does not use cookies for user-account authentication because the service does not require user accounts.
We do not use advertising cookies.
9. Data retention
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy.
Our intended retention approach is:
- Unpurchased projects: up to 30 days
- Purchased projects: project access remains available according to the purchased project’s retention period
- Editing: purchased projects may be edited for 30 days following successful payment
- Uploaded screenshots and project data: may be retained for up to 12 months following successful payment where needed to provide project access and downloads
- Final export ZIP files: available for up to 12 months following successful payment
- Temporary render files: deleted after they are no longer needed to create the export
- Technical logs: generally retained for up to 30 days
- Payment and transaction records: retained where reasonably necessary for payment administration, refunds, disputes, security, accounting, or legal obligations
When information is no longer required, we delete or anonymize it where reasonably possible.
We may retain limited transaction information for longer where required by applicable law or reasonably necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
10. Legal bases for processing
Where the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or similar laws apply, we process personal information under one or more of the following legal bases:
- Performance of a contract or steps requested before entering into a contract - to create projects, provide Kvick’s generation features, process purchases, and deliver purchased exports
- Legitimate interests - to operate, secure, maintain, troubleshoot, and protect the service
- Consent - where we specifically request consent for a particular purpose
- Legal obligations - where processing is required by applicable law
11. International data transfers
Some of our service providers may process information in countries outside your country of residence or outside the European Economic Area.
Where required by applicable data protection law, appropriate safeguards are used for international transfers of personal information.
12. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:
- access your information
- correct inaccurate information
- request deletion
- request restriction of processing
- object to certain processing
- receive a portable copy of certain information
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
- lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority
You may contact us to exercise these rights.
Because Kvick does not use accounts, we may need information such as your private project link, purchase email address, or transaction information to verify that a request relates to you before acting on it.
13. Deleting projects and personal information
Kvick does not use customer accounts, so there is no account to delete.
You may contact us to request deletion of a project and associated personal information.
Where appropriate, we may ask you to provide the private project link or information associated with the purchase so that we can verify the request.
When a project is deleted, we will delete or anonymize associated project information unless certain information must be retained for payment, accounting, dispute, security, or legal purposes.
14. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information processed through Kvick.
Project access tokens are randomly generated and are intended to be difficult to guess.
However, project access is link-based. Anyone who obtains a valid private project link may be able to access the associated project.
You should treat the private project link as confidential.
No online service can guarantee absolute security.
15. Children’s privacy
Kvick is intended for people who are legally able to use and purchase professional software services.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children where parental consent would be required by applicable law.
16. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when Kvick, our processing activities, or the services we use change.
If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and provide additional notice where required.
